Flood Damage Repairs
structUK has extensive experience in the repair of flood damage to masonry buildings, timber structures, retaining walls and basements.
Flood damage structural repairs vary depending on the impact of the flooding on the structures and foundations.
Typical Flood Damage Repairs
- Structural repairs to retaining walls following rising water table levels caused by flooding and burst water mains. We introduce propping (raking props) or reduce load until permanent support is installed — cast walls against the wall, added props, ground anchors (Platipus anchors) or soil nails.
- Structural repairs to foundations affected by flooding, including grouting, void filling, underpinning and micro-piling where soil erosion has caused settlement and cracks.
- Structural repairs to concrete, masonry and timber structures affected by water ingress from flooding — including drying, treatment of efflorescence and calcite formation from water percolation.
