We support local authorities, housing associations and building owners to repair dangerous structures and restore structural stability — sometimes by introducing temporary works and urgent propping, and sometimes by implementing permanent structural repairs to deal with the underlying cause.
The most important consideration is protecting the lives of residents and members of the public. Another challenge is ensuring the structural stability so the risk does not extend beyond the immediate location — local failures can result in disproportionate collapse in old multi-storey buildings, high-rise buildings, industrial buildings and terraced properties.
